On August 24, at 10:54 a.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report that in the village Tarasivka, Lviv district, on the Lviv-Ternopil highway, a Ford Trucks F-Max truck and a Skoda Octavia car collided.
Rescuers from the 61st state fire-rescue unit of the city of Vinnyki and the 29th state fire-rescue unit of the city of Lviv went to the scene.
As it turned out at the scene of the accident, the driver of the Skoda Octavia, a man born in 1972, died and was trapped in the car.
With the help of a hydraulic tool, the rescuers squeezed the deformed structures of the car and freed the body of the dead man.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the Skoda Octavia car was also injured, and the medics hospitalized her at the Saint Luke’s Hospital in Lviv with moderate injuries.
10 personnel and 2 units of special equipment were involved in the liquidation of the consequences of the road accident.
