The traffic accident occurred on April 21, around 1:20 p.m., on the Mukachevo-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rohatyn-Lviv highway in the village of Davydiv, Lviv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Lincoln MKZ driven by a 43-year-old resident of Chervonograd and a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 42-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district.
As a result of the accident, the passengers of the Volkswagen Passat: a 63-year-old woman and a five-year-old boy – both from Lviv – received physical injuries and were taken to medical institutions.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
