The traffic accident occurred on September 8, around 3:40 a.m., on the Zhovkva-Kovel highway in the village of Turinka, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Nissan X-trail, a 25-year-old resident of Lutsk, lost control, drove into a ditch and crashed into a tree.
The driver of the crossover and his passenger, a 23-year-old resident of Kyiv region, died at the scene of the injuries sustained as a result of the accident.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
