The traffic accident happened on October 27, around 7:10 p.m., on the Lviv-Sheghini highway in the village of Zimna Voda, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz car, a 29-year-old man from Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a 17-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district.
As a result of the accident, the minor girl was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
