The traffic accident happened on February 7, around 09:35, on the Kovel-Chervonograd-Zhovkva highway near the village of Vyazov, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between three vehicles: a MAN truck driven by a 48-year-old resident of Volyn region, a Ford Tourneo minibus driven by a 53-year-old resident of Sokal, and a Renault truck driven by a 41-year-old resident of Rivne region
As a result of the accident, the driver of the minibus and his passenger, a 74-year-old resident of Sokal, were injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of police department #2 of Lviv district police department #1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
