The traffic accident occurred on March 22, around 8:40 a.m., on the Lviv-Sheghini highway in the village of Zimna Voda, Lviv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Hyundai Accent car, an 80-year-old resident of Lviv, collided with a Ford Edge driven by a 46-year-old resident of Lviv, as a result of which the Ford Edge drove into the oncoming lane, where it collided with minibus “Opel Movano”, which was driven by a 36-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Ford Edge, the driver of the minibus and his passenger, a 41-year-old resident of Lviv district, were injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
