The traffic accident occurred on April 25, around 6:10 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Pasyky-Zubrytskyi, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Volvo truck driven by a 33-year-old resident of the Kyiv region and a cyclist whose data is being established.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the two-wheeler received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
