An 18-year-old cadet shot himself while on guard at the university
An 18-year-old cadet of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs shot himself with a machine gun while on guard at the post. Condolences on the young man’s suicide have already been published on the university’s website, and an internal investigation has also been launched.
The accident happened on Sunday, March 19. The cadet’s suicide was reported anonymously through several Telegram channels, publishing a photo from the scene. “He shot himself with an AKS-74U. Weapons are issued to cadets during daily shifts at individual posts,” the reports said.
According to ZAXID.NET, the cadet who shot himself was studying in the second year of the university at Faculty No. 3, where specialists are trained for preventive police units. The guy was from the Rivne region, he would soon be 19 years old.
The website of the University of Internal Affairs reported that an internal investigation had been launched due to the cadet’s suicide. The case is also being investigated by the police.
