The traffic accident happened on August 21 around 6:30 p.m. on Kulparkivska Street.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Dacia car, a 48-year-old resident of the city of Pustomyty, ran over a 59-year-old female pedestrian, a resident of Lviv, who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of the collision, the woman received injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
