At the intersection of Bandera and Verbytsky streets in Lviv, a road accident occurred. The driver of a Mazda CX-9, a 28-year-old Lviv native, hit a 76-year-old local resident.
The police who arrived at the scene established that as a result of the incident, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised in a medical facility. In connection with this incident, Lviv District Police Department No.1 initiated criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The article’s sanction provides for a punishment of up to three years of restriction of liberty concurrently with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
