
In Lviv, due to a car collision, an elderly woman was injured – police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The traffic accident occurred on June 9, around 11:05, on Horodotska Street in Lviv. Preliminary investigations by law enforcement officers suggest that the driver of a Ford Fusion, a 38-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a 73-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, the elderly woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
The investigators of Police Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (‘Violation of Traffic Safety Rules’) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under the article is imprisonment for up to three years, with a deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers are determining the circumstances of the incident.
