In support of the public indictment by the prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, the court found the previously convicted 37-year-old citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan guilty of causing intentional grievous bodily harm that caused the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court sentenced him to 9 years in prison.
It was established that in October last year, a dispute arose between a foreigner and his acquaintance, which later turned into a fight, during which the convict stabbed the latter in the torso. As a result of stab wounds to the chest and abdomen, the victim died in the hospital after some time.
