The court found a 39-year-old native of Kalush guilty of rape of a minor (Part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public accusation by the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv.
He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
Prosecutors proved in court that the accused raped a 16-year-old boy in July 2022 in a forest area near Lviv, in an underground facility.
Previously, the young man came there to help equip the bomb shelter. The extra, being in the company of the victim, forced him to drink alcohol and later took advantage of the boy’s helpless condition.
The accused will be in custody until the verdict becomes final.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the investigative department of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
