On 22 May, a road traffic collision occurred on Heroiv UPA Street in Lviv, as a result of which a female pedestrian was injured. This was reported by the Lviv Region Police.
At around 14:10, the driver of an electric bicycle, a 20-year-old resident of Lviv district, collided with a 64-year-old Lviv woman who was walking on foot.
As a result of the collision, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of Lviv District Police Department No.2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restricted liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident and carrying out the necessary investigative actions.
