A road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car occurred on 15 August at around 15:30 at the junction of Chornovola Avenue and Stavova Street in Lviv.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement officers, a Zongshen motorbike, ridden by a 23-year-old resident of one of the villages in Lviv district, collided with a Chevrolet Lacetti driven by a 32-year-old woman from Lviv.
As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist and his 14-year-old passenger sustained bodily injuries. Both casualties were taken to hospital.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving for the same period.
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
