In Lviv, a pedestrian died as a result of being hit by a truck – law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances
The traffic accident happened on March 20, around 2:00 p.m., on Aviation Street in Lviv.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the MAN car, a 67-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, while driving in reverse, hit a pedestrian, a 62-year-old man from Lviv. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, the man died in the hospital from the injuries he received as a result of the road accident.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
