In Lviv, on 15 July at around 19:00, a road traffic collision occurred at the junction of Horodotska and Rivna streets, as a result of which a female pedestrian was injured.
According to preliminary police information, a 49-year-old Lviv resident, driving a Chevrolet Aveo, ran into a 60-year-old woman from Lviv who was crossing the road.
As a result of the collision, the female pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
