
In Lviv on 16 June, a road traffic collision occurred at the junction of Pasichna and Washington streets, as a result of which a female pedestrian was injured. This was reported by Lviv District Police Department No.1.
At around 17:30, according to preliminary information from law enforcement officers, an 81-year-old Lviv resident, driving a Dacia Logan, ran into a pedestrian – a 26-year-old woman living in Lviv.
As a result of the collision, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
