In Lviv, an object resembling a grenade was found in the courtyard of a residential building on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street. The report to the emergency hotline 102 was received on 14 August at around 11:30.
A crime scene investigation team from Lviv District Police Department No. 1 and officers from other Lviv region police units were dispatched to the scene. The officers seized the item, which turned out to be a training grenade and posed no threat to people.
The Lviv region police urge citizens, in the event that they discover dangerous or suspicious objects, to immediately report this to the emergency hotline 102 or via the 112 app, not to move such items or attempt to neutralise them themselves, and to restrict other people’s access to the site until law enforcement officers arrive.
