A road traffic incident occurred on Chervonoyi Kalyny Avenue in Lviv, during which a 42-year-old driver of an Opel Vivaro struck an 80-year-old local resident who was using a wheelchair. The incident happened on 20th April at 17:00.
The man sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised. A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Regulations) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a sentence of up to three years of restricted liberty and deprivation of the right to drive for the same period.
The police are investigating the details of the incident.
