On 23 October in the city of Lviv on Korolyova Street a fire broke out in a flat in a five-storey residential building. The report reached the rescuers at 18:38.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, flames were bursting from the window of a flat on the fourth floor. Household items were burning over an area of about 20 sq. m.
While extinguishing the fire, rescuers used a special rescue device to lead one resident from the top floor, and escorted two more people out. The owner of the flat where the fire started had left the premises before the units arrived.
The woman was taken to the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital. The fire was contained at 19:06 and fully extinguished at 19:10.
Fourteen rescuers and 3 units of specialist equipment were involved in tackling the blaze.
