On Liubinska Street in Lviv on 5 August a road traffic collision occurred in which a pedestrian was injured.
At around 12:55, according to preliminary police information, a 24-year-old Lviv resident driving a Ford Fusion struck a 60-year-old pedestrian, also a resident of Lviv.
As a result of the collision, the male pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators from Police Department No.1 of Lviv District Police Directorate No.2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road traffic safety rules. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restricted liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
