In Lviv on Roztotchia Street, a wooden outbuilding caught fire, as a result of which a mother and daughter were injured. After examination by paramedics, both women were taken to medical facilities.
The incident occurred on 17 July at 12:39. The Rescue Service “101” received a report of a building on fire on Roztotchia Street in Lviv. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the single-storey wooden outbuilding was already completely engulfed in flames, and there was a risk that the fire could spread to a nearby residential house and another outbuilding.
As a result of the fire, the owner of the building, born in 1945, sustained burns, and her daughter, born in 1989, was poisoned by combustion products. Paramedics transported both women to hospital.
The fire was contained at 14:51 and fully extinguished at 14:53, preventing the flames from spreading to neighbouring structures. Nine firefighters and two units of specialised equipment were involved in tackling the blaze.
Experts are determining the causes and circumstances of the fire.
