Four people injured, including two children, in road accident on Luhanska Street in Lviv

On the evening of 21 June, a road traffic collision occurred on Luhanska Street in Lviv, in which four people were injured, including two children. The police reported this.

At around 21:55, a Renault Twingo driven by a 39-year-old Lviv resident and a Volkswagen Touran driven by a 43-year-old resident of Lviv collided.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Renault Twingo and three passengers of the Volkswagen Touran sustained bodily injuries: a 10-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and a 71-year-old woman, all residents of Lviv. The casualties were taken to hospital.

Investigators of Police Station No.2 of Lviv District Police Department No.2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
