On Pasichna Street in Lviv, police officers seized an object resembling an imitation training grenade, which had been found on the carriageway.
According to law enforcement officers, today, 3 July, at around 11:00, the emergency hotline 102 received a report about an object resembling a grenade discovered on the carriageway of Pasichna Street.
Specialist bomb disposal experts from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department, dog handlers, criminal investigation officers, an investigative team from Police Station No. 2 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2, officers from other police units in the Lviv region, as well as staff from the Patrol Police Department of Lviv Region, were working at the scene.
The bomb disposal experts seized the find, which resembled an imitation training grenade, and sent it for expert examination. The incident will shortly receive its legal classification, and law enforcement officers are establishing the identity of the person involved in the offence.
The police remind the public that if a dangerous or suspicious object is discovered, it is necessary to immediately report it to the emergency hotline 102 or via the 112 application, not to touch or move the find, not to attempt to neutralise it independently, and to restrict access to the object until law enforcement officers arrive.
