Parking Inspector Attacked in Lviv

A recent assault on a parking inspector in Lviv has captured public attention. The incident occurred at St. Theodore’s Square when the inspector was checking for parking payments. During his work, he was approached by an unknown man in a state of intoxication, who verbally abused and threatened the inspector with physical harm. Despite requests to not interfere with his duties, the attacker struck him on the head and back. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.

According to Lviv’s Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko, the inspector acted correctly by leaving the scene and calling the police. An attack on someone responsible for maintaining order in the city is unacceptable and will have legal consequences. The case has now been handed over to law enforcement, who have initiated criminal proceedings.

The inspector involved has been part of the team since October 2024. This incident highlights the importance of an appropriate legal response in such cases.
