The driver knocked down 6 metal bollards and, as it turned out, was drunk
Yesterday, at about 10 p.m., the police received a report from passers-by that an accident had occurred on Shevchenko Street. According to them, the driver was probably drunk.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of the Lviv region
Upon arriving at the scene, the patrol policemen found that the 42-year-old driver, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, had lost control and hit metal poles.
The suspicion of the passers-by was confirmed. Talking to the driver, the inspectors found signs of alcohol intoxication. The Drager device showed 1.23 ppm.
The patrol policemen drew up two reports against the culprit of the accident: under Article 124 (Violation of traffic rules that led to an accident) and Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated) of the Administrative Code.
