In Lviv, patrol officers escorted a 6-year-old girl struck by lightning to hospital

In Lviv, during yesterday’s thunderstorm, a 6-year-old girl was struck by lightning. The driver who was taking the child to a medical facility drew the attention of patrol officers with continuous horn signals.

After the bad weather, the patrol officers were directing traffic, clearing minor obstacles from the roads and dispatching municipal and road services to the scenes of incidents. Inspectors from the accident investigation and processing unit, Roman Sikora and Dmytro Petsii, noticed a car whose driver was violating traffic regulations and repeatedly sounding the horn.

The police officers pulled up alongside and learned that the man was urgently taking to hospital a girl who had been struck by lightning. The patrol officers then immediately escorted the car to the medical facility so that the child could receive help as quickly as possible.

Law enforcement officers reported that they are on duty around the clock and urged citizens to contact the police for assistance whenever needed.
