In Lviv, on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue, patrol officers Sviatoslav Yurynets and Rostyslav Maradia prevented a woman from taking her own life. This was reported by the Patrol Police of Ukraine.
The crew responded to a call about an attempted suicide in one of the high-rise buildings. The woman was sitting on the windowsill and was about to do something irreversible.
Thanks to their composure and ability to establish contact, the officers engaged the woman in conversation, persuaded her to step back from the fatal decision and ensured her safety.
Afterwards, the woman was handed over to medics to receive the necessary assistance.
The Patrol Police of Ukraine commended the professional, well-coordinated and decisive actions of the Lviv officers, stressing that behind every call there is a human life.
