On the morning of 23 August, a fire broke out in the “BIOMED” pharmacy on Trakt Hlynianskyi Street in Lviv, during which a man born in 2002 died.
The report of the fire reached the rescuers at 6:49. The blaze started in the pharmacy premises and covered an area of about 30 m². During the fire, the flames spread to shelves with aerosols and alcohol-based medicinal products, which caused a flashover.
Twenty-two rescuers and five units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. By 7:33 the fire had been completely put out. The relevant services are working at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the likely cause of the fire may have been electrical faults. Specialists are establishing the final causes of the fire and the circumstances of the man's death.
