Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Bodnar killed on duty in Lviv

In Lviv, while performing his official duties, 55-year-old Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Bodnar, a serviceman of the territorial recruitment and social support centre, was killed. The report of the soldier’s death specified that he is survived by his son and parents.

Law enforcement agencies must carry out a full pre-trial investigation, establish all the circumstances of the incident and identify those involved in the crime. It is emphasised that the perpetrators must face just punishment in accordance with current legislation.

The statement stresses that violence against servicemen is unacceptable and such crimes cannot go unpunished. Sincere condolences and words of support are extended to the family and loved ones of Oleksandr Bodnar, in honour of his memory.
