On September 14, around 1:30 p.m., as part of the “Search” preventive exercise, employees of police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 on Antonicha Street in Lviv found a 36-year-old man from Lviv who was wanted for a previously committed criminal offense – fraud.
In addition, during a cursory check, the police found and seized 76 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber from the man. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
The perpetrator was arrested according to the court order and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Upon the discovery of ammunition, investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to seven years.
We would like to remind you that the “Search” operation is ongoing in Lviv Oblast, during which police officers are checking information about persons who are wanted for criminal and administrative violations. The complex of preventive measures is carried out in order to strengthen the fight against crime and increase the effectiveness of the search for suspects, accused (defendants), as well as missing persons, etc.
