In Lviv, the head of one of the municipal enterprises is involved in a serious scandal related to the abuse of office. The 54-year-old executive is accused of creating a scheme that led to significant financial losses for the local community, estimated at over 200,000 hryvnias.
According to law enforcement, including the Lviv region cyber police and local district investigation, the perpetrator conducted tender purchases for video surveillance systems, which were installed at six facilities of the municipal enterprise. As a result, funds totaling more than one million hryvnias were stolen.
The documentation provided by the enterprise contained knowingly false information, which served as the basis for improper financial payments. Consequently, the suspect was informed of a crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment of up to three years. The investigation into this matter continues.
