In Lviv, rescuers enter flat of elderly woman through window

In Lviv, rescuers helped an elderly woman who had fallen in her flat and was unable to open the door herself for medical staff and the police. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Region.

The incident occurred today at 08:01 in a block of flats on Dnisterska Street in Lviv. Police officers contacted the Rescue Service with information that there was a woman in a second-floor flat who needed assistance.

Rescuers from Lviv were dispatched to the scene. Using an extension ladder, emergency workers gained access through the window to the flat for police officers and medics.

Inside was the owner of the flat, born in 1932, who required medical assistance. Using a medical stretcher, the rescuers transported the casualty to the ambulance.

After receiving initial care, the woman was taken to hospital.
