In Lviv, firefighters led a man out of a smoke-filled flat on Naukova Street

On the evening of 28 June in Lviv, on Naukova Street, a fire incident occurred due to food left to burn on the hob. The report reached the firefighters at 23:25.

On arrival, the firefighters established that on the sixth floor of a nine-storey residential building, food had burned in one of the flats, causing heavy smoke inside the property. In the room was the flat’s owner, a man born in 1976.

Using a special rescue device, the firefighters led the man out into the fresh air. He was not injured and did not require medical assistance.

Emergency services stress the need to never leave food on the hob unattended, as this is one of the most common causes of domestic fires. A few minutes of inattention can have serious consequences.

In the event of a fire, firefighters urge people to call 101 immediately.
