In Lviv region, law enforcement officers exposed a 36-year-old woman who organized a scheme for the illegal smuggling of conscription-age men abroad during martial law. The woman offered services to prepare fake documents that would allow her clients to pass through border checkpoints unnoticed.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the investigators from the Yavoriv district police department and the operative staff of the Migration Police Department, as well as border guards of the Carpathian unit, evidence of the woman’s criminal activity was obtained.
The woman promised her clients the removal from military registration by compiling a fictitious ’employment invitation’ in EU countries. The fee for her ‘services’ was 1500 dollars. She has been charged under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which prescribes up to nine years of imprisonment with disqualification from engaging in certain activities for three years and the confiscation of property.
An ongoing pre-trial investigation is currently underway, and the court will soon determine the preventive measure for the accused.
