Police in the Lviv region are actively searching for a scooter driver who hit a 67-year-old Lviv resident and fled the scene. The incident occurred on 18 April at 19:00 at the intersection of Levandivska and Povitria streets in Lviv. All those who have any information regarding this incident are asked to contact the operational line 102 or the nearest police unit.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised. Law enforcement officials have opened a criminal proceeding under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty under this article provides for up to three years of restricted liberty with a driving ban of up to three years.
Police officers are conducting a series of operational and investigative measures to identify the offender and locate the vehicle.
