In Lviv, a scooter rider was injured in a collision with a car – police are investigating the circumstances.
The road accident occurred on October 28, around 4:00 PM, on Zelena Street in Lviv. According to preliminary police findings, there was a collision between a Yamaha scooter driven by a 19-year-old Lviv resident and a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 33-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Lviv district. As a result of the accident, the scooter rider sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of Lviv District Police Administration No. 2 have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of Road Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article is up to three years of restraint of liberty, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers are working to establish the details of the incident.
