In Lviv, an indictment has been sent to court against a 43-year-old Lviv resident accused of illegally storing ammunition.
According to officers of Lviv District Police Department No.1, the man illegally acquired and, without intent to sell, kept at home two F-1 type hand grenades with detonators. The ammunition was seized on 7 July during an urgent search.
The owner of the grenades was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) has been completed.
The indictment has been submitted for consideration by the court, which will decide on the defendant’s liability. He faces a sentence of three to seven years’ imprisonment.
