Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office have completed the pre-trial investigation concerning a former head of the interregional directorate for the execution of criminal sentences, accusing him of accepting a bribe. He is charged with demanding and receiving undue advantage (Part 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
- The accused, while in office, demanded over 2,000 euros from an entrepreneur.
- This amount was intended to ensure unhindered activity on the regime institution’s territory with the involvement of convicts.
The man was detained after receiving the money in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: The person is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court (Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine).
