As the law enforcement officers established, as a result of the illegal activity of the head of the enterprise, losses of almost half a million hryvnias were caused.
In 2016, the director of one of the defense enterprises located in Lviv entered into an agreement with a contractor company for the supply of spare parts, parts, components, as well as electronic products at clearly inflated prices. As a result of such equipment, the enterprise suffered losses in the amount of almost 500 thousand hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 364 (Abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to six years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with a fine of five hundred to one thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.
The perpetrator was exposed by investigators of the Department of Investigation of Particularly Serious Crimes of the Investigative Department of the Lviv Oblast Police together with operatives of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Oblast, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Defense of the Western Region.
