The woman, who is in custody, faces up to fifteen years in prison for her crime.
According to law enforcement officers, on November 7, around 10 p.m., a domestic conflict arose between a 76-year-old pensioner who lived in an apartment in a house on Shchurata Street and her 33-year-old granddaughter. The granddaughter severely beat the pensioner, inflicting numerous punches and kicks to various parts of her body, causing injuries that resulted in her death at the scene. The offender fled from the apartment.
The criminal police operatives established the suspect’s whereabouts and detained her.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 1 Article 115 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to court.
The accused faces a sentence of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
