
A woman and her minor relative will be prosecuted in Lviv for stealing money from bank accounts.
The total damage caused by the accused amounts to nearly 41,000 UAH. **The 38-year-old resident of Zakarpattia** and her 17-year-old relative face up to eight years in prison. Initially, the criminal stole a bank card and SIM card from a 68-year-old Lviv resident, which gave them access to the accounts. She repeatedly made payments in his name for goods and services and also withdrew cash.
To steal credit funds from the victim’s bank account, the woman involved her 17-year-old relative. In this way, they caused the man damages amounting to nearly 41,000 UAH. The suspects were exposed by operatives of the Cybercrime Counteraction Department in the Lviv region.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal case has been completed. The indictment has been sent to the court for consideration. The maximum penalty facing the defendants is imprisonment for up to eight years.
