In Lviv, a pedestrian was injured as a result of a truck collision, and the police are investigating the circumstances.
The road traffic accident occurred on September 11, at around 08:30, on Pasichna Street in Lviv. As preliminary established by law enforcement officers, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz truck, a 63-year-old resident of Lviv, collided with a pedestrian, a 67-year-old resident of Lviv. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
Based on this fact, investigators from the Department of Transport Crime Investigation of Lviv Police have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 “Violation of Traffic Safety Rules” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or without such a right. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
