A traffic accident occurred in Lviv, resulting in a woman being injured.
The incident happened on August 16 at around 22:30 on Mazepa Street. According to preliminary data, the driver of a MAN truck, a 64-year-old Lviv resident, struck a 43-year-old pedestrian. As a result of the accident, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
Investigators from the transport crime investigation department of the Lviv police have opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for punishment of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, with or without the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
