
On Mykolaychuk Street in Lviv, a road traffic accident occurred on May 3, involving an injured cyclist. Preliminary findings suggest that a 59-year-old driver of a Renault Duster collided with a 55-year-old local resident who was riding a bicycle.
As a result of the collision, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital. The police have opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for up to three years’ imprisonment and a suspension of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
The police continue to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.
