An elderly woman injured in Lviv as a result of a car hit – police are establishing the circumstances
The road accident occurred on 2 October, around 18.00, on Mykolaychuk Street in Lviv.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of a Chevrolet Niva, a 77-year-old Lviv resident, hit a pedestrian, an 82-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the elderly woman was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
