The traffic accident happened on November 24, around 8:00 p.m., on Naukovya Street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Megane car, a 27-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, hit a pedestrian, a 24-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
