The traffic accident happened on December 7, around 1:20 p.m., on Horodotsky Street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Suzuki car, a 51-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, hit a pedestrian, a 39-year-old man from Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
