The traffic accident occurred on April 25 at 8:40 p.m. on Khutorivka Street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz E220 car, a 23-year-old resident of the Sambir region, hit a scooter driven by a 27-year-old man from Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the scooter received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
